“NAZA: The Real Story”: A movie you should see

What does the war in Gaza look like from the perspective of those who were on the ground? The approximately 49-minute documentary “NAZA: The True Story” features interviews with Israeli commanders and intelligence officers. Their accounts are supplemented by footage from the field, photos, and documents.

The officers describe weapons caches in residential buildings, tunnels beneath civilian structures, and the dangers posed by Hamas fighters in civilian clothing. They recount hostage situations and decisions in which Israeli soldiers refrained from attacking in order to protect civilians. The film highlights the difficult conditions under which Israel is fighting Hamas.

As a direct response to the original film “NAZA,” the filmmakers aim to refute its allegations and expose anti-Israel propaganda. They rely on witness testimonies and footage from the field. In doing so, the film offers an important Israeli perspective on the events in Gaza.
