Boy George once again expresses his solidarity with Israel and the Jewish people

Boy George (65), the charismatic frontman of the British band Culture Club, is once again showing his support for Israel and the Jewish people with his new song “We Will Dance Again.” In recent years, the pop icon—who comes from a Catholic Irish family—has repeatedly spoken out publicly in support of his Jewish friends and against anti-Semitism.

Boy George wore the Star of David from an early age, performed in Tel Aviv on several occasions, and spoke out against a boycott of Israel at the Eurovision Song Contest. “Should I turn my back on my Jewish friends? That will never happen,” he emphasized. Even after anti-Semitic attacks in London, he publicly expressed his solidarity with the Jewish community.

Boy George has now released the song “We Will Dance Again” (Hebrew: “Od Nirkod”). The reggae track commemorates the massacre of October 7, 2023—particularly the Nova Festival—and criticizes the “selective memory” of many musicians. Lines like “You say genocide, I say war” and “I stand with the Jews” make his stance unmistakable. The chorus echoes the survivors’ message of hope: “We will dance again.”

The song ends with Hebrew words and was shared primarily on social media.
With this, Boy George once again demonstrates moral courage in a polarized era—and visibly stands in solidarity with Israel and the Jewish people.
