A new peace plan is intended to pave the way for an end to the Gaza war. The detailed 20-point proposal envisages not only an immediate ceasefire, but also long-term demilitarization, reconstruction and a new political order in the Gaza Strip. The plan is supported internationally – including by the USA, several Arab countries and European partners. <\/p>\n\n

The 20 points are reproduced here in their exact wording and content:<\/p>\n\n

  1. Gaza will be a deradicalized, terror-free zone<\/strong> that poses no threat to its neighbors.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  2. Gaza is being rebuilt for the benefit of the people of Gaza<\/strong>, who have suffered more than enough.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  3. If both sides agree to this proposal, the war will end immediately.<\/strong> Israeli forces will withdraw to the agreed line to prepare for a hostage rescue. During this time, all military operations – including aerial and artillery bombardment – will be suspended. The battle lines will remain frozen until the conditions for the full phased withdrawal are met. <\/li>\n\n\n\n
  4. All hostages, alive or dead, will be returned within 72 hours<\/strong>, with full forensic examination, in cooperation with the International Committee of the Red Cross.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  5. All Palestinian prisoners who have been arrested in Gaza since the beginning of the war will be released.<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n
  6. Israel will release 250 Palestinians<\/strong> who are currently serving life sentences.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  7. A technocratic, apolitical Palestinian committee will temporarily govern the Gaza Strip under international supervision.<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n
  8. A “Board of Peace” chaired by President Trump will lead the recovery and reconstruction efforts.<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n
  9. Hamas and other factions that reject this plan will be excluded from the government.<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n
  10. Hamas members who commit to disarmament and peaceful coexistence are offered amnesty and safe passage abroad.<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n
  11. An international stabilization force<\/strong> (consisting of the US, Arab and European countries) will provide security assistance and monitor border controls<\/strong>, working with a vetted Palestinian police force.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  12. No one will be forced to leave Gaza<\/strong>; those who choose to leave will be allowed to return.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  13. Reconstruction includes the rehabilitation of infrastructure<\/strong>, new housing, water, electricity and roads, which are being carried out within the framework of public-private partnerships and under the supervision of international donors.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  14. A special economic zone is set up<\/strong> in which preferential tariffs and access tariffs are negotiated with the participating countries.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  15. A path to Palestinian self-determination<\/strong> and more comprehensive reforms in the Palestinian Authority<\/strong> will be facilitated by renewed negotiations under the leadership of the USA.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  16. The transition also includes oversight by international bodies<\/strong> (UN, Red Crescent, etc.) to ensure fair access for humanitarian aid.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  17. Israel reserves the right to defend itself<\/strong> if one party violates the conditions – in particular in the event of armament or attacks from the Gaza Strip.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  18. Arab and Muslim states pledge to support the demilitarization of the Gaza Strip.<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n
  19. The funds for reconstruction and rehabilitation are being provided by international donors<\/strong>, the Gulf states and private sector investment.<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n
  20. If the parties reach an agreement, this proposal will enter into force immediately.<\/strong> Procedures for monitoring compliance are introduced.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n

    Israel has now accepted the peace plan.<\/a><\/p>\n\n
