The anti-Israeli UN Human Rights Council
In no other UN body is there such a gulf between aspiration and reality as in the Geneva-based Human Rights Council. While unjust states such as North Korea, Iran, Venezuela or even Mianmar are hardly ever discussed or criticized there, this is constantly the case with Israel – right from the start.
Just one year after the UN Human Rights Council was founded, a fixed agenda was introduced, whereby the “human rights situation in Palestine and other occupied Arab territories” must be discussed every time under agenda item 7. There is no comparable agenda item for any other area of conflict. Accordingly, Israel is frequently condemned.
Hillel Neuer – the critic of the Council of Injustice
The harshest critic of the UN Human Rights Council is Hillel Neuer.
